It not only creates an iconic architectural appearance but also plays an important role in shading, thermal control and optimizing the building’s energy efficiency.

Technical Requirements Analysis & Project Context

The project was implemented with the requirement of creating an architectural shell for the entire building, which must simultaneously meet strict criteria on aesthetics, functionality and energy efficiency:

  • Create an Iconic Architecture Look: The facade is the most important brand identity element. The requirement is to have a unique, modern design that reflects the “digital” spirit of the shopping center.
  • Heat Radiation Control: As a building with large glass facades in a tropical climate, minimizing the amount of heat absorbed from the sun is an important technical requirement to save operating costs for the air conditioning system.
  • Optimizing Natural Light: The building envelope must be able to block direct sunlight and reduce glare, but still allow natural light to diffuse into the building to maintain a bright space.
