The technical solution is a system of four inverted cone structures, including three rooftop units and one that extends into the interior space. The design uses a central steel ring at the top of the cone as a water collection point and anchor points at the edges to create an anticlastic curvature. This structure is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ensures high stability under the impact of wind and rain loads.
Material Selection: PVDF Stretch Film
Using FlexiiPVDF membrane, a composite material consisting of a core of reinforced polyester fibers and a double-sided PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) coating. This coating provides UV resistance, anti-stain and waterproofing. More importantly, the translucency of the material allows for effective interaction with light, diffusing daylight and turning the roof system into an architectural luminaire at night when illuminated. This is one of the outstanding advantages of Tension membrane architectural solutions.
Construction and Assembly Process
The steel frame system and the canvas panels are precisely fabricated at the factory based on detailed technical drawings.
