What is ETFE?

ETFE or Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, is a high-end material, found and developed 40 years ago. ETFE can be applied in a variety of Tensile Membrane Structures with single or multi-layer pneumatically inflated, with a weight equal to only 1% of the weight of glass. With a lifespan of over 30 years and good weather resistance, ETFE is becoming a great material for outdoor spaces in diverse climates.

characteristic

  • Light penetration ability up to 95%
  • Good non-stick surface
  • Available in clear, translucent, opaque white and a limited number of colors
  • The weight is 1/100 times lighter than glass
  • Transparency lasts throughout the period of use
  • Suitable for single layer, double layer, three layer or air cushion
  • Application: An economical choice for buildings to replace glass, glass facade panels, or enclosed spaces with heat-retaining transparent materials
  • Waterproof: Absolutely waterproof
  • Ventilation: No ventilation, ensure airtight space
  • Color: Transparent, Textured Transparent, Opaque White or Custom Color (Only applicable to certain materials)

superior characteristics

  • Transmits light up to 95% but is not negatively affected by UV rays on the material
  • Transparency lasts throughout the period of use
  • Available in clear, translucent, opaque white and fritting prints: sparse or tight, optional patterns, helping to reduce light transmittance
  • Prevents heat radiation for a long time, providing a cool, airy space for the covered area
  • Create amazing lighting effects with LED lights
  • Super light material
  • Does not spread fire
  • Mechanically durable
  • 100% is recyclable
  • Noise absorption
  • Self-cleaning because of its very good anti-adhesion surface properties
  • Excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalis
